Iceland came from behind to subject England to one of the greatest humiliations in their history.

England were ahead for just 84 seconds as an Aron Gunnarsson long throw was flicked on by Kari Arnason and turned home by Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.

Roy Hodgson's men were unable to recover from the early setback and crashed out of the tournament in the last 16.

The defeat is a major shock and will raise serious questions about the future of Hodgson and his team.

Iceland, meanwhile, will now face France in the quarterfinals on Sunday.
